Graham and Laura Ragless are pleased to be a part of the Mount Pleasant Farmers Market. Owners of both Beltana and Puttapa station, the Ragless family have been a part of station life in the Flinders Ranges for nearly 100 years. Beltana Station (incorporating Puttapa) is a fully working sheep and cattle station that also offers accommodation, a café and restaurant and is a tourist destination that many people enjoy.

Graham and Laura have recently purchased Beauchamp, on the outskirts of Mount Pleasant. Beauchamp is a 157 acre grazing property but also the home to Beauchamp House, a beautiful Bed and Breakfast where people can enjoy an exclusive getaway. Elegantly furnished the three bedroom home has everything you need for a romantic weekend away, a private retreat or a special catch up with friends.

We are bringing together our two properties at the Markets and you are able to experience the journey from paddock to plate with our Saltbush Lamb. Our meat is hand-picked from our property in the Northern Flinders Ranges and delivered to you through our Mt Pleasant Bed and Breakfast, Beauchamp.

Our Dorper lambs have been born, bred and raised in saltbush country in the Flinders Ranges giving you an amazing taste that just melts in your mouth.

We will be at the markets each week with a selection of fresh lamb and can also take orders if you would like to buy a half or whole lamb.

Apton Field

Pat Pevreall has been cooking for 40 years; taking a keen interest in cooking once she was married and had children. Pat, along with husband Tony, are based in the picturesque Eden Valley, on 3 acres, ¼ acre of which is daffodils.

Apton Field food range is quiches and fruit cakes and when spring arrives, Tony will have daffodils available for sale.

Most products are sourced locally, meat from Mount Pleasant Butcher, and her fruit and vegetables from local growers, and the eggs for her quiches from her own free range chickens.

Their range of quiches is Pumpkin & Fetta, Spinach & Fetta, Roast Vegetables, Mushroom & Red Onion, and Quiche Lorraine.

Bell Springs Farm

 Syd Lewis, former ex-country SA cricketer is the owner and operator of Bells Spring Farm.

At Bells Spring Farm it’s all about the potato. Growing spuds for 25 years, Syd is based in Charleston, which is in the Adelaide Hills region. The potatoes are grown on approximately 4 ½ and half acres.

Syd has a good range of potatoes like Pontiac, Moonlight, Cecile and Dutch Creams. You can always get the best advice on which potato bakes the best and which is the best mashing potato… straight from the grower’s mouth.

Syd uses organic principles and methods, for example using organic minerals and fish liquid fertiliser.

You can catch Syd, who is quite a character at the Mount Pleasant Farmers Market on a fortnightly basis.

Baker Creek Vineyard

David and Janet Hamilton are the proud owners of Baker Creek Vineyard which is a boutique winery situated in Eastern Adelaide Hills in the picturesque town of Tungkillo.

The eight acre vineyard has been planted since 2005 and has many different varieties of grapes grown. Also produced are red, white and herbed vinegars as well as extra virgin olive oil including infused olive oils, packaged olives and olive soap.

Within the vineyard is the very popular bed and breakfast “Sunnybrook” which is also run by the Hamiltons.

The Hamiltons have many award winning wines one in particular worth mentioning is the Nebbiolo which has won a silver and bronze at the National Wine Show. Also available are fortified wines, including Ruby, Tawny and White Port as well as Chocolate Port.

All fruit is hand-picked, hand pressed and nurtured to maturity. Organic principles are use in the vineyard.
