SALA at Mt. Pleasant – Farm to Market Town
August 11, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
SALA (South Australia Living Artists) will return to Mt Pleasant in 2018.
SALA Mount Pleasant 2018 will showcase an artist’s palette of mediums including watercolour, oils, acrylics, pastels, ink and pencil, tapestry, floral sculpture, photography, glass jewellery and metal artwork. The theme ‘Farm to Market Town’ is in keeping with one of the SALA venues in the district – the Mount Pleasant Wisteria Atrium and its association with the Farmers Market.
This year, SALA Mount Pleasant, under the auspices of the Mount Pleasant Progress Association Inc., has drawn together a group of talented artists from in and around the town, all working towards a common theme. We are privileged to exhibit the creative work of artists Joe Dennis, Sandra Keatley, Isobel Corbally, Tricia and Andrew Wood, Robyn Mitchell, Terese Stephens, Eileen McAllister, Marissa Summersides, Eugene Blackman, two young artists Chloe Gillespie and Scott Hegarty and the Spencer family comprising Linda, Linda Snr. and Barrie.
Open days and times:
Saturday 11, 18 & 25 August – 8.00am to 1.00pm
Sunday 12, 19 & 26 August – 2.00pm to 4.00pm
In a shift to include and combine artists from where the Southern Barossa joins the Adelaide Hills, the SALA Torrens Valley Art Trail has been initiated. This incorporation of artists brings together the SALA venues of Top of the Torrens Birdwood, Mount Pleasant Wisteria Atrium, Holmes Studio Burns Road and the Springton Gallery. Make a day of it and follow the trail.
