Husband and wife team, Glenn and Joan Dennis have owned Muntrie Magic for almost twelve years.
The Mount Pleasant grown muntries berries are native to South Australia (and slight parts of Victoria).
At their Mount Pleasant property, they have about 2 acres of muntries growing. The berries grow as a ground cover normally, but with commercial growing they are grown up on trellis for ease of picking. The fruit is picked every year; season being February through to April.
An interesting fact that muntrie berries have up to 4 times more anti-oxidants than blueberries.
Muntrie Magic product ranges from, fresh muntries, in season February to April muntrie jams and chutneys, muntrie fruit straps, carrot cakes with muntries and the yummiest muesli using fruit nuts and honey, muntrie berries and muntrie straps all sourced from our market.
Joan and Glen also sell other fruit when available. They can also source a selection of other native foods such as lemon myrtle, bush tomatoes, wattle seed and mountain pepper leaf.
As well as muntrie products, they also sell a range of organic products such as goji berries, quinoa, chia seed, carob kibble, cacao nibs, cacao powder, brazil and hazel nuts, sultanas, buckwheat kernels, and chocolate muntries.
